Esk View Cottage, a self catering holiday cottage near Whitby, provides comfort in abundance, privacy if you want it and plenty of space for your group holiday or accommodation. Enjoy beautiful country walks through the nearby dales and of course the North Yorkshire Moors. Situated near the North Yorkshire Coast you will also find glorious beaches with long sands or rocky pools and cliffs.
The holiday cottage is deceptively large, as it was originally two cottages years ago, as well as stables and workshops for the mill, there are deeds going back to 1834.
As a self catering holiday cottage, the ceramic floor tiled kitchen provides the perfect place to enjoy your meals as a group. All modern cooking appliances are provided as are a range of cooking utensils and tableware. Self catering has never been so easy and comfortable!
The cottage has been recently extensively refurbished to provide 4 lovely ensuite bedrooms, (including a four poster) a bunk bedroom and childrens den, massive farmhouse dining kitchen, lovely sun lit lounge, laundry and a luggage store. Outside is a patio with a nice summer house with lots of seating, and a gas BBQ. The cottage is the perfect size for a group holiday and has 10 rooms all decorated with warmth and comfort in mind.
Beamed ceilings, Georgian windows and porcelain tiles give you an idea of the quality awaiting you in this spacious holiday cottage. (We even have a 'Glass Tax' window)
Always lovely and warm in winter with central heating throughout, and a living flame lounge fire for cosy comfort, summer sunshine or winter fresh, you will really enjoy your stay.
The cottage is located in Ruswarp village and lies alongside the pretty River Esk with a proper country pub just round the corner from our cottage. Nearby are local shops, an outdoor café/wine bar, boating on the river, a children’s indoor activity centre, along with a miniature railway and a famous plant centre in the local vicinity.
Just a few miles away is the seaside town of Whitby boasting a host of restaurants and pubs and access to the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Yorkshire Coast couldn’t be easier.
